But this 2004 Mini makes me feel all tingly. 2004, 87,000 miles, clean, clearly well cared for, and local. $5,200.
I really like the Indi Blue Metallic and black roof combo too.

Also my dad is telling me to go take a look at it and see if it is as nice as it seems. Maybe I will become TheSuperchargedSquirrel?

I sent it over to my dad and his first response was that the 100k service is coming. My response was that the cost of that service could be offset by donating my current Mini to my mechanic to either go through the no kill mini shelter program again or to be used as parts :(. So I’m going to look at it.

Yup, the 100k isn't too bad iirc. Timing chain (if necessary), water pump, SC oil should be it right?

Plus plugs and belts. Basically a $1-1.5k service which is about what my car is worth.

Aah yes. But you can do the belt and plugs yourself pretty easily. Detroit tuned will lease you the tool for the belt for $20
Removing the SC isn’t too difficult either. Flushing the coolant can be a pita tho.

I would have my mechanic go through it with a fine toothed comb after any purchase anyway so it just makes sense to have him do the full 100k service.

Yup, that makes sense.

Of course this is all theoretical right now. I'm going to look at it on friday at which point I will make a decision.

I saw a gorgeous green manual JCW R53 in Chicago the other day. As I was driving my R56 at the time I made a point to maneuver where I could compliment the owner. It was a 60i sh woman and she said she loved it.
